photoblog image FRUIT: Seller

FRUIT: Seller

So after losing my fruit pics, I decided to be brave, park by the side of the road and ask this fruit seller to pose for me with her 'wares'. She happily obliged. I might just print this and give to her for being such a sport.  I struggled between the colour and B&W version but I decided to follow through with this weeks pattern of conversion pics. I can see 6 different fruit in the picture..can you?

I'll post the colour tomorrow

Hope you took some more that were portraits of the kindly fruit seller so you can give her a nice (framed) print to say thank you.
E Etomi: Thanks idleye. I will send her one smile

That certainly is a lot of fruit! I like it, but I think that the color version will be nicer only because there is probably such a variety of colors in the fruit on the display. Not a bad conversion though. I also struggle to get the conversion right, I think I tend to push it just a tad too far. I need to learn when enough is enough.
E Etomi: I think im getting the hang of it at last. I guess the best way to learn is through practice.

Papaya, Orange, Watermelon, banana, pineapple, grapefruit. !
Men for me fruits just have to be in color. not really feeling the b/w
but i am feeling the braveness. and yes fruit seller should get a free copy.
E Etomi: oooh you missed out apples..I forgot about the grapefruit...7 then
LOL!!! Some of the fruits look alien to me!!! I need to visit home again oh!!!

Nice pic but I think the colour version willl show the variety of fruit in the picture.
E Etomi: Thanks Adura. The color version will be up tomorrow
Nice shot, I can see pineapple, bananas, papaya, watermelon and two other round fruits that I can't figure out in black and white.
E Etomi: Grapefruit, oranges and apples (at the back)

She looks unhappy...did you buy anything?

I like it and you win for the volume of fruit!
E Etomi: Nah that was just her 'pose'

very nice Etomi, i love how u composed the girl to the side. Very good shot, the b&w works for me here. curiously how did U convert?
E Etomi: Thanks Asiko..I used the channel mixer making sure i didn't go to far above a total of 100 as well as color balance. But first I worked on the main pic using the higlights/shadows and curve adjustments. (Ps mask posted a link for color conversion a few days ago)
this has a bit of a Tina Modotti feel to it. From her Mexico images from the 1920s and 1930s. i like image a lot.
E Etomi: Wow, thats a compliment. Thanks
i did somethin wrong with my "comment" above, when you click on my name you end back here?

Lovely shot. I'm really pants at asking people to pause. I've got to take leaf out of your book. Looking forward to the colour version.

I’m not sure where you’re getting your information, but great topic. online-essay-writer.org I needs to spend some time learning more or understanding more.
