BRT- Buses only

The newly created BRT lanes....meant for Buses only. Its going to take a little while to get the point across. I personally don't really get it when our roads are already congested. Luckily this was during the weekend

lol...he made it a point to himself to drive in the bus lane...he's a bad boy..nice pic i miss naij!!
E Etomi: Lol, let LASTMA catch him.
Was going to ask, do people actually obey the lane rules?
E Etomi: They do because in most places there are huge barriers preventing one from going in and out of the lane. This was a weekend and in general the rules were not really being enforced at the time.
Nice captue. I was in Lagos last year, and I couldn't believe anyone was implementing this concept. It's even worse when you have those solid brick dividers in the middle of the road. It narrows the roads and creates more traffic. Sometimes people just copy blindly.
E Etomi: I know, this is defintely a case of blind copying!

well spotted
beautiful composition
lovely complementary colours
and those clouds are bangin'

are you in nigeria?

in the first place these brt lanes are on the wrong side of the third mainland bridge anyways

also it's going to be near impossible to get any such point (pointless enough as it is) across on such a bridge without actually building demarcations
E Etomi: Except they position LASTMA at intervals on the bridge..not a great idea. I'm not currently in Nigeria. Those demarcations are not the best.

He's obviously having trouble reading! Great colour contrast between the bright yellows and the greys and I love the composition.
Ingrid
E Etomi: Well its written on the floor and at that point it was just a yellow line on the floor with no real explanation as to why...only if had been to other countries and seen the same, would you understand. Thanks Ingrid!

Great composition and colors. nice work.
I visited Nigeria 2 months ago after so many years. I was impressed with what I saw in Lagos State. The BRT lanes rock and I remembered the HOV (car-pool lanes) here. It will take a lot of getting used to. Great Shot Etomi...Keep it up
