The image shows signs of camera shake or maybe she moved at the last minute. Here are a few pointers that would have helped. 1.Try the breathing in technique, so u breath out at the point when u press down on the shutter, at which point ur body is relaxed. 2.Bump up ur shutter speed to help freeze movement. 3. Switch to AI servo AF or AI Focus AF which keeps track of the subject and detects when there is movement, so the camera makes the necessary adjustments (uÂ’ve got a top end camera, let it do some of the work for u smile ). 4. Steadying ur self against a wall, table or anything for balance or even using a tripod as a monopod or better still use a monopod. And most importantly never rush a shot, recompose, steady yourself and try again.

Kids are one of the most difficult subjects to shot, but the most rewarding. Nice shot smile

The single eye showing, so wide and bright, is quite endearing. I agree with fotografa - the image lacks clarity, but the composition is lovely.
Nice one... but the way things are going, it looks like you aint gonna run out of pictures of nieces and nephews in a long long time. A pity for some of us, fans of your other type of style.

She's very cute! and this is sweet...but it's blurry.

I think 1/10 of a second shutter speed is too slow to handhold especially with the shallow DOF that f2.8 offers. I wouldn't even attempt less than 1/60 sec. and I rarely even go below 1/100 handheld.

Increase the ISO and shoot faster or at least use a monopod to shoot at slower speeds. It will help make the photos sharp.
