photoblog image Lalle Stroke

Lalle Stroke

Another Lalle shot. Its quite impressive what these ladies can do. I think it qualifies as art.

Love Henna, the way it's done here is soo colourful, I know indians here prefer images like these in colour but since the colours here are black ot work well as a B&W image.

E Etomi: Yes its mostly black here although i have heard that there is also red.

Nice shot Enimien.
E Etomi: Thanks Elsie
Definitely art...Beautiful!

How long does it take to dry? My hands are too old looking (I've always had old looking hands) plus I'd probably have it all smudged...I have no patience to wait for it to dry. That's why I gave up manicures, well that and it gets so expensive after a while.
E Etomi: It took about 10mins or less and it lasted about a week. Maybe one day you could try it.

I find the slope of the hand beginning at the wrist of the lady on the left mesmerising, and the styloid process of her right wrist is beautifully prominent. I guess I like hands. The blur of the artist's right hand seems counterintuitive. Did you add the blur?
E Etomi: No she was painting really fast. Thanks for commenting
You *think* it qualifies as art, brother this totally *is* art! ;-)

I like the mini movement blur, it adds a little dynamism to the shot.
E Etomi: I think so too. Thanks psychodudu.
Hindu's in Suriname do a similar thing for wedding ceremonies, I have a few shots, I'll post them next week or so. beautiful isn't it.
E Etomi: oooh can't wait for them
This is a very interesting shot. I have seen the Hindu version and it is beautiful. Do these traditions come from the same root?
i thought it was only a hindu/indian tradition?
good capture though.
I like this kind of photography, Culture.., Nice shot.
