New Beginnings 2

Another shot taken on my last day about 2 weeks back. I really love this phone, its fun and flirty but I can't use it anymore, well not at my place of work.

I haven't been able to install Photoshop so I'm challenging myself to use only Picasa if necessary and get the shots right without having to heavily alter them. Lets see how long this lasts.

wicked motion blur. i really love the combination of the details of the phone and the blur. really great colors as well....i love the pink against the black background.

Nicely caught, etomi. Very colourful. A good abstract photo. As you've discovered, not all pictures have to be sharp.

Another aspect of the art is presentation. Here you have a lot of black empty space on the left. Sometimes this adds to a picture, sometimes not. You can experiment by cropping some of this out, but make a copy first in case you prefer the original. I think Picasa has a crop tool.

Nice blur worked, yes it fun and flirty phone I like the phone too haha...
So you've used Picasa?I think it's realy good soft. you can makes moore effective & simply exprmnt with it.

I used to use picasa until I got a Mac. I like minimal post processing, it's one of my goals to process in such a way that it would achieve as close to film processing results as possible. I'm not generally a huge fan of wildly processed shots. I think it's possible to get the results you want. Photoshop is capable of mimicking film processing techniques for digital. Masking, dodging and burning, using filters, and retouching photos were also achieved in film post production as well, now we just use the computer instead of the darkroom. You can get some very nifty filters that go on the lens that make all sorts of interesting effects without the computer.
