National Theatre

Seems like Nubi and I are putting Lagos shots. This is the National Theatre. I remember watching Sango there. Thats the story of how the world come into being...as told by the Yorubas. I'm not so sure if its still as good as it was back then. I took this on my way home same day as yesterdays shot.

I went to watch "The King Must Dance Naked" with my classmates in Secondary School here!

Nice pic.
E Etomi: They performed that at our school. Your school was uncool tongue
hey e,

very strange shot. the colors and the tones make it seem almost lunar. very unique.
E Etomi: Thanks Nicole

The tones ae surreal, great for this one I think. Lends an air of mystery. I would not have guessed this was a theater. It rather resembles the hull of a large boat at a glance either wrecked or being built.
E Etomi: When I was younger it reminded me of a police cap
Yeah interesting shot. Kudos on catching this, I've tried very hard to get a decent shot of this building while the car is moving, never had any success.
E Etomi: Thanks Jide, I just kept snapping and picked the nicest looking

Nice silhouette....the standards there have definitely dropped. trust the Naija government to ignore maintenance of the place.
E Etomi: I know, maintenance is not in their dictionary lol. Its sad though, it won't cost as much to fix if only they maitained roads, schools, National Monuments etc etc
I'm not really sure how I feel about this just yet....am I supposed to see the subject?? on the wall with this one..hmmph
E Etomi: I process my pics according to how I feel at that pointin time so I guess I wanted to put a bit of darkness and moodiness into the pic. Don't think you are really supposed to see it.

What a great sky shot. I wish there was a little more detail in the shadows, but all in all a fabulous pic.

provocative yet serene: the shape and its imposing presence reminds me of "the powers that be" yet you managed to capture it in a serene and peaceful setting. good work smile
