photoblog image Ciao

Ciao

Took this on my way out of Ghana. I had a great time there and will definately go back for more! If you haven't been and need a quick get away from Nigeria, its definately worth it. Shoot its cheaper than going to Obudu cattle ranch in Calabar for a weekend!!!! That place is way to pricey, where do they think they are?

Ciao Ghana!

very cool shot. i love the perspective. really excellent angle. i really dig the clocks. i think, however, that there is a bit too much noise. i really like the effect that the noise has in this shot, but it is a bit overdone and makes it look like a surveilace picture.
E Etomi: I couldnt help the noise actually, its my high ISO and I didnt know how that worked at the time but i guess i can live with the noise in this pic

heard alot about Ghana....not as informative as what was passed on during the slave trade series. will really like to go there now
E Etomi: Im sure you would really enjoy it!
I think that the fact that the noise is a bit over done is what makes it a great shot...i like it a lot...there are some things that need effects like that...and this is one of them...really nice dude..
E Etomi: Thanks Yanik. Didn't mean to overdo the noise but it turned out okay with it.

Nice Shot! b/w plus increased noise made it nice..
E Etomi: Thanks!
Very very creative Enimien. Looks like something I have seen on Chromasia.com.

One thing I think would be nice is more light on the clocks. Why don't you selectively mask that area and lift the curve up a bit.
E Etomi: I'll try it. Havent gotten the hang pf selective masking. I'll look for a tutorial.

beautiful choice for this color tone.
E Etomi: I was not sure wether to go with this or b&w but this looked better with all the noise. Thanks

This is great! I love the very geometrical way you framed this, agree on "more light on the clocks would work well" comment but I think this is great and very different and technicalöly well executed
E Etomi: Thanks Idefix, I'll see what i can do about the light.

Enimien, it;s cool, I think i like Jides idea about masking.

This may help http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorial/Using-Layer-Masks/13899

Or uou can use the Quick mask, when in Photoshop, type Q, and then highlight the bits you want to select (goes red).

Great creative shot. I do like the overcooked noise actually, and the choice of tone is great as well.

WOW! Liking this a lot.
Though my only snag is that the lighted area is showing nothing. Now what if you'd dragged the chair into the lit area before taking the shot...or even placed something there....
